I'm surprised that you're only getting 214 mw out of that rig. I thought those diodes were rated for 150 mw each. If so, you're loosing nearly 1/3 of the total power in the optics.

The build quality is great though. And such a small package! Very cool...

I too was a bit surprised about the power you are getting from two diodes as I have just received a single diode laser-Wave 642nm from Rob Stanwax and it is doing 205mW according to Rob. It may be down to the driver that you are using.By the way the single diode 642 units from LW come fitted in the same housing as the one you have used.

RedlumX posted that he had better results using a lens from Rothnier... Maybe the Axiz lenses are not all that efficient at 642 nm?

I'd be pretty upset if I had a pair of 150 mw diodes and I could only get 211 mw out of the pair...
