was asked by Andy to help do lasers at this years global gathering.
one word to describe the weekend was mental!
arrived at 1pm on friday, set the lasers up straight away. once the important things (lasers) had been sorted we set about sorting my tent out for the weekend. i have two tents a modern 12 man tent and a 30 year old heavy metal pole 4 man tent.
i opted for the 4 man one as the other seemed a bit extreme for just me!
two bags, one for the tent material the other with poles and pegs, both very fooking heavy. we lugged them to the camp site, couldn’t find a space, when we did find a tiny bit of room in the middle of a load of tents we set about getting it up.
there was a number of poles missing and we had to give up and pack it away and lug it back to the car. to top it off i had to sleep in my car for the weekend.
start the laser show at 7pm on the friday night and didnt finish till 2am, by the time we had packed away and i got back to the car it was like 2.45.
got woken up at 6am by some idiots parking next to me in the car park with banging music.
started the laser show again on the saturday night at 7pm and didnt finish till 6am the next morning, then drove home. the drive home took 6 hours 3 driving 3 sleeping. so pretty dead to be honest.
we run lasers in two tents, 3 in one and 1 in the other. both nights went pretty well on the laser front.
also met Toby again from laser fx (i think), as always extremely nice friendly bloke, its just a shame hes full of it.
anyway i could go on and on about the weekend but i wont, at the end of the day were i asked to help again the anwser would be yes straight away.
