yes all went very well thanks mate.

well my tent had andy's 5watt kavnt green which really lit the place up. it had a real nice beam on it. that was running on my fb3 and midi controller. i did switch to fiesta at one point as well.

in andy's tent he had a borrowed 8watt green which was more like 4 watt and two 1.5 watts either side, running on 2x .net qm's.

in andy's tent the smoke machine (not ours) was right behind one of the 1.5watt greens and it was fooked. it made a big thick ball of smoke right in front of the smoke machine (right around the laser). it was suppose to blow smoke out into the tent but like i say it was fooked. so most of the time you couldnt see one of the lasers. which was annoying.

Unfortunately since the Russian incident and given the H&S paranoia in the UK where many insurers no longer want to cover anything even slightly risky, its a lot harder to find promoters willing to do it.

I disagree Andy. Being inside the tunnels or interacting with the beams is all part of the experience. Its a personal opinion of course and you and others may hold different opinions, but for me overheads simply don't do it in the same way and I've been to some pretty powerful overhead shows.

Check these overhead greens out from Crasher at Magna. Clearly oversmoked to death to the point most beams wouldn't even shine through and these cut through like butter and even diffuse the surrounding smoke green to the point of effectively lighting the whole atomosphere to some considerable distance out from the beams. When you get the fanned effects around 55 seconds in, the whole room is quite literally lit and the tops of peoples heads are green such is the power. I'm unsure of the powers used but they were cleary BIG League. The video is unadjusted so there's no cheating. Apologies for sound, quite grating, even on the intro most of the melody is lost due to the mic overloading (may take some time to buffer as 99mb):

Now look at these greens from a different Crasher event. To me the 2nd experience is instantly better than the 1st simply because of the interaction even though its much simpler show wise at this point.

Of course if you're not allowed to audience scan you have no choice and equally if it can't be done safely then it shouldn't be done, but if it is done safely then to me there's nothing to match the experience.

You did a great job within the restrictions placed upon you.
