Yeah! Really nice. Has a very calming effect to watch this. I think I'll paint my kids room like this and put in a small bluray lumia. Maybe they fall asleep a bit faster

Something that you might want to try is pulse on the laser for a second or so the turn it off for a couple of seconds and repeat.
It is hard to tell from the video but does it turn into a glowing blob?

i was concerned about the screen turning into just a big blobby glowy mess which is why i used a short phosphor paint (zinc sulfide) instead of the new ultra-bright long lasting variety. eventually, the whole screen glows, but it's always brighter right where it was just touched by the laser so the glow paint maintains reasonable detail.
i can post a still frame or two if you're interested.

we throw yearly gatherings in southern new mexico which is what i'm building this for. there's always some element of art/music/tech involved, and i'm hoping that bringing things like this will help inspire more.
i'd like to do burning man one of these years (i also build flamethrowers), but the timing has never worked out.

there's still a lot of work to be done, like mounting in a box, dressing wires, and building the speed control for the motor, but here's the first video of my RGV lumia projector up and running.. it is projecting on glow in the dark paint, but the ghost trails aren't showing up very well on camera.
