Your gear list equates with buying a 100" 1080p display, and just using the built-in speakers instead of opting for an actual home theatre.
I've seen people do this too. I can have a production company and say that I own everything ever made... as long as he can sub-hire it from another company... Thats what I figured when I first saw it.

Lol but SRX sucks... haha, VRX is a step in the right direction but even better vDosc is more like it

    I am freakin amazed here.

Most everyone with any knowledge here has in one way or another told Allen to pound sand, and he continues to post like everyone thinks he is still god's gift to coolness...

Had I just got my ass reamed a ton of times I would run like hell with my tail between my legs.

Apparently feedback bounces off his head like laser beams off a bounce mirror.

    Scary....

Yeah the weight sucks, but the sound is amazing. They have a design that works great and they just dont want to change it yet, regardless of the change of weight if they did change it. For that matter even the NEXO array is pretty good. We go to have a full system given to us to use at summerfest in milwaukee through some pretty extreme conditions and we were happy with the way they performed. But we still haven't bought them if that says anything about how much we like the L Accoustics gear.

Meh, L acoustics, Nexo, Meyer, D&B.... It's all good, and at that level how it sounds is more down to picking the right kit for the job and configuring it correctly then it is which particular box you use.

With that sort of gear a bad sound is down to either the systems guy or the FOH guy screwing up (Or a talentless 'international' act on stage)....

    Regards, Dan.

I agree with this,, (and you can add EAW to that list).
the thing with Nexo, L'acoustics, Funktion one, is that when you purchase one of their systems, they make sure and work with you on a complete "system", that kind of ensures your going to get a good sounding package.
whereas with EV, EAW, and some others, (even thought they are just as good), you can go to your local music shop, and buy a couple , and unless your a sound engineer, your gonna just set up, and possibly get bad sound, not because of the speaker itself, but because of the lack of guidance in selecting a complete system for the job.

thats why you have some hardcore Funktion one, Lacoustics, Nexo .... etc. fanatics,
Its NOT the speakers!!.... its the system and how its put together and how its setup and EQ"d..... thats all

Seconding EAW, lifetime buyer. Sold upon hearing the difference of pure heritage and engineering. Down with these vertec cabs, sure they are popular but put it up against a EAW kf750 rig any day.

Very different usage however, the KF750 is a point source box, so more suited to applications requiring a wide vertical dispersion, you cannot do that 120 * 10 degree thing with these boxes, so when it is a site that really benefits from a cylindrical wavefront then a line source becomes the better option. Of course not all jobs need that....

Even within a range, it comes down to picking the correct box for the application, sometimes it is a point source array, sometimes a line source, just depends on the job.

Getting well off topic here however.

    Regards, Dan.
