OT: who cares? Finally something interesting in this sad thread!

I'm hooked on Funktion-One & D&B. I help organize an electronic music festival in an abandoned Swedish iron mine, Norbergfestival(.com) and we have Funktion-One on three stages and D&B in one. We have the F1 systems on the stages with more dance oriented music and I love the clean bass and crisp and undistorted mids and highs even at high volume.
The D&B is also a great system, it's in a giant empty concrete building approx 25x25x30 meters and the system is carefully tuned to the very strange room acoustics by sound engineers that have spent about 7 years on getting the right sound for that venue. I think they may have used a big F1 Infrabass horn this year so get the bass right though.
They discribe as the art of getting the air pillar of the entire building to move and work with the room resonances...have to expereience it to really understand it!

(By the way, its Laser T.A.G with a 30mw pinter and a 15k lumen projector on the outside of the building, pretty cool!)

I work mainly in theatre, where it seems that Meyer gear is used a little more often. I really like their powered stuff, the lack of amp racks is very nice.

Right now our center is six q1's, and I have been amazed by their versatility. that little array can throw 200' if it needs to.

I've heard vdosc sound great and sound like crap. as the originator it holds some titles, but ease of use ain't one, just about every other rig i've used is faster to set up (I just worked the brad paisley load in, they keep their vertec bananas pinned together, so they come off the truck like a giant caterpillar, MUCH faster to set up, though they still have those stupid ass wheelpates. also they don't really hit much past 15k, so blah.)

    On side note,
another solid speaker manufacter is DanleySoundLabs , although ive never had the pleasure of hearing them, ive read nothing but solid reviews on them, and that co. seems to be heavy on the engineering / R&D ........

How would I be able to measure the divergence? Guess would be measuring the distance from the laser to the destination an then diameter of the point? Then for when in Q-Switch what would the energy in Joules be? Peak power in Watts? pulse duration? and repetition rate? This is where i'm having some trouble and need help here...

If you don't know these things you shouldn't be exposing other people to laser beams.
