The Health and Safety Act 1971
Recklessly interfering with Darwin’s natural selection process, thereby extending the life cycle of dim-witted ignorami; thus perpetuating and magnifying the danger to us all, by enabling them to breed and walk amongst us, our children and loved ones.

And this coming from an unreliable source, someone who was almost voted off the PL forum for ripping people off? Some of the content seems edited... logs can always be edited... just like when i said "if i did do any shows they would be on my property... until i got my variances..." it seems cut down, or if it wasn't cut down, it was what i meant, not that i would crowd scan at even my own property, why would i want to blind my friends or anyone for that matter? please explain...
Allen is not going to listen to anyone - period. He has been given a million chances and still his attitude is the same.
He is a dangerous, spoiled kid who thinks he knows it all. And what he don't know he thinks money will buy his way out of.
It is not if, but when he will hurt someone. It is just a matter of time.....unless the Feds step in and confiscates his equipment. Even that might only slow him down. A rich daddy can buy more lasers....

I was trained on 171s in 1988 at Sea World. A good one seven one Kr does 7 watts of multimode red when brand new and overdriven a bit. A brand new one seven one will approach thirty two plus watts of multimode argon when pushed a bit. A one seven one multimode whitelight does 13 to 15 watts when new. Those figures rapidly settle down at lower numbers after some use.
Please note these figures were for Sea World's new built, hand selected, tubes from Spectra on the day of install at 13,700$ each in 1988 Dollars, plus 1000$ worth of shipping and 700$ per day plus expenses of Spectra tech time. My time standing there as a 18 year old Laser Tech II was the cheapest thing in the room. SWO was a prime Spectra customer and the only better tubes went to DOD.
A lot depends on the tube model number, whom you are in the customer pecking order, and what your willing to spend. But the above numbers are solid from my notes.
20 watts from a 171 is TEM00 power or a lower preformance tube. And all lines multimode Kr is usually less then 30 percent of the performance of AR.
The only commercial ion reds that do more then seven watts were hand made non production models made by InversIon.
And its 440-460V at 60 amps per phase. When I get back to AKron on thursday I will gladly scan in a copy of the manuals.

I should have rented the space under my name for advertising.
When I still could have...
Well the person that sold them to me was a surplus guy and didn't know as much as you when it came to lasers, and I don't have a power meter yet to test them out (working on getting one), so that is what I believed at the time because it was quite bright and I guessed the figures by comparing it to a confirmed 20w red laser I had seen at my friends shop, but not sure on the wavelengths, they can change the visibility of the laser by a lot... It sure looked bright tho...
Isn't any whitelight considered multimode?
