As I know you guys love pictures, I thought I would share my new build with you in pictoral form
I am using the same case my 1 watt RGB lived in and will be adding the following kit inside:
The laser powers are as measured by my Coherent Power Meter which I now know is spot on, as the readings perfectly match those sent to me by Kvant:
Lasers:
Kvant 640nm @ 660mw (Rated @ 600mw)
Lasever 532nm @ 860mw (Rated @600mw)
CNI 473nm @ 300mw (Rated @ 200mw)
Kvant 445nm @ 480mw (Rated @ 500mw)
Total = 2300mw before optics
Eventually I will be adding 1.2 watts of 658nm, but I am yet get that module built.
Optics/Mechanics:
Scanpro 40 galvos, Poly 20 Diffraction Wheel (Once I get it working), Laserwave blue PBS cube, Laserwave reflect red dichro, Edmund reflect blue dichro and kinematic mounts from Laserwave and Edmund.
So, we start with a big pile of metalwork, lovingly machined, drilled, tapped and finished in a lovely shade of, yep, you guessed it, matt black
Here are the 4 laser modules
Kvant 640nm on the meter
Lasever 532nm on the meter
CNI 473nm on the meter
Kvant 445nm on the meter
This bit made me smile big time Here we have the two blues going through the Laserwave cube and loosing a grand total of 20mw all of which is 473nm. Giving a grand total of 760mw of lovely Blue.
Just to back this up, here is the 445nm through the cube on its own
Finally for tonight's installment, here are a couple of pics of the blues in the cube...
Unfotunately I have had to leave the build for the moment as I seem to have the only Araldite rapid epoxy that refuses to dry ... So I need to leave it overnight until I can do any more...
Watch this space for the next exciting installment
