Default The build is back on

I had to take a short break in the building of the monster after I made a monumental cock up...

I connected the power feed into my green laser back to front and that in turn blew a few components on the driver... So after shouting at it for a while and then sulking (neither of which seemed to fix it), I called Rob (Stanwax).

Rob came to the rescue in true syle and not only did he fix the driver, but he also opened up the cavity and made a few tweaks resulting in a much better quality beam... What more can I say? As usual Rob went over and above with his service and got this done for me in a couple of days. I am one very happy person and I would highly recommend Robs service to anyone, this guy really knows his stuff and cetainly does a top class job...

So, back to the build: All the electronics are done and now it is a case of re alligning everything and getting it into its case...

    More pics to follow

Yeah I'm looking forwards to seeing the the 437 / 445 mix as I don't think anyone on here's done that before. It will be interesting to see if it delivers the brightness of 473 in mixes with the depth of colour of 445 for pure blue scans.

    Default Almost there

Well, today I got a lot further with the build and saw beams for the first time Now I need to get some more tissues...

I still have a bit of work to do, tidying up the wiring and fine tuning the scanners and colour palette, but she is close to being finished...

Here is a picture of the electronics all sqeezed in there...

Here are the modules, I have built a perspex box around all the optical stuff to protect it from dust and fog fluid.

Here are the shots you really want to see. Unfortunately my camera didn't pick the colours up as well as I would have liked, but this thing is so very bright that the camera struggles to cope with it. I also have a video on its way up to YouTube, should be done in about half an hour...

@ Whitelight; Yes the two blues on separate lines opens up a whole range of colours, from cyan through bright blues to very deep blues and violets. But my camera just can't replicate them too well...

I'll let the pictures do the talking
