Default Anyone here experienced with HE laserscan?

I've been playing around with it as a possible option since I'm in need of some free/inexpensive software that can I can control live using a soundcard DAC. I have everything working with my soundcard DACs except the blanking.. I've tried every channel on the DACs. tried every setting I could find in the software and no matter what I do I get no laser output. If I disconnect the blanking wires in the scanner I can see the test frame being scanned no problem, looks great except for all the connecting lines, but when I plug the blanking wires back in I lose all light output but the galvos remain moving. I have been using these DACs with spaghetti without any problems whatsoever. Graphics and beams look fine, blanking works no problem. I try this program, no laser output at all. It has to be a setting in the program itself, but I just can't find it... HELP!

LFI player is also free and supports the audio card DAC's http://sourceforge.net/projects/lfiplayer3d/ .

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

audio card support to HE-LS is a relatively new addition, it might have a bug or two in it still. You can try using EzAudDac in EasyLase mode (rename the dll to easylase.dll) with HE-LS and see if that fixes your problem.

^Tried that.. no luck unfortunately. Unless of course I did it wrong. I changed the name of the .dll to Easylase.dll. Then I opened up HE LS. In the options, "scan for audio DAC" selection is checked. In my list of hardware I have the EZaudDAC and some other addresses but no Easylase. Do I need to set it to use Easylase somehow? I have the hardware settings set to EZaudDAC, but still no light output. The other addresses seem like they would be used with an LPT based system, but I'm not sure about that.. Also, when I rename EZaudDAC, the minute I start the program it automatically replaces the EZaudDAC dll.

You need the EzAudDac.ini file in there too. Look for the EzAudDac.txt debug output for info. Disable the EzAudDac checkbox when using easylase mode.

Thanks! I made the changes and got it working, but now my scan speed is crazy slow, not even 10k, possibly 5k. Even when I change the settings in the preferences it doesn't increase significantly.. very weird.

There may be other options set in the preferences like adding blanking points. Check the option under 'optimize output'. I just ran the 'something' and 'mother earth' shows and the speed looks good here.
