maybe i am asking for too much, but then again, maybe it is easier than what i think or maybe it is of interest to more people and it can actually happen
so... i imagine a board that would combine all / many of the features found on many different boards (i have in mind rob's boards because these are the only ones i know)
features could be
- ILDA breakout board (6 channels, intensity, shutter, the whole lot)
- ILDA interlock loop, case interlocks, shutter driver, delayed start-up, manual reset, commanded start-up)
- Connection for key-switch, remote kill switch, e-stop (if applicable) and appropriate light indicators
- Shutter driver (so far stanwax's ilda board fits the bill)
- ILDA in/out (maybe even an ILDA splitter)
- buffered in / outs (these two can be covered by brigg's MatILDA)
- some sort of colour correction feature (DZ, stanwax boards)
- X, Y invert switches
- X, Y size pots
- "manual mode" of colour intensity and a built in quad-pattern generator (like the ILDA GEM)
- some elementary form of fan/temp control ( a couple of sensors and a couple of trim pots)
so, imagine this board packed with all those features, coupled with a pre-drilled and labeled back panel and you have the highest possible standard, feature and simplicity in signal wiring and safety in our boxes
I know this is a pretty long shot, but i do remember something similar (minus a few feats) from rob 2-3 years ago, built into another PL member's backpanel (which i can't remember who it was)
well, dreaming is free, isn't it?
