    Hmmm...

Any idea what it would take to convert this for use as a pulsed ruby holography laser???

Sucks about the export though, so I guess it's out of the question anyway

I'm interested... Maybe we can work something out?

It's a part of a pulsed laser, not a whole system, and it's totally unsuitable for hoplography unless you want to make holograms like they had to in 1961 (multimode and with no coherence length). Probably a good deal for building up a balloon popper!

Do you have a driver for this?

I may be interested... I have an SSY-1 waiting for me to make a driver for it...

I think you can get a PFN for this system from Meredith Instruments without too much difficulty..

I did look at that... but I didn't want to piece things together... I was interested in the whole driver as one (ready-to-go) package pretty much...

Those ruby based lasers are really cool and something I've always wanted to play with as well. Those 1960's ruby lasers with the big helical flash lamps is what caught my
    imagination as a kid.

Well, with the Q-Switch as well, it's far from "ready to go". I have one of these heads mounted in an ammo box with the PFN and trigger circuit. Unfortunately, when I assembled this thing their was no information avalable on how to trigger the q-switch so I just removed it and moved the OC linear with the rod which was a real pain in the ass. I REALLY want this head so I can get it running with the q-switch but I just don't have the cash right now. Got stuff to trade though!

Here are pics of the ruby laser I built when I was 14. I don't have that kind of time or patience anymore.
