    Hi, im new, but have been lurking around here for a long time

    I wanna know what ppl who own Riya dacs think about them.

    Also i was wondering what effects exactly does the "audio in" can produce (RIYA 3_in_1 and RIYA PCI Pro), so i would like to see a short movie if its possible :P

    and i didnt noticed price of RIYA OEM on forum yet.

    I have a Riya Multibus Micro, and it works as advertised although I have not gotten to use it much because my projector is in pieces. I know Dr. Lava has a few RIYA Multibus Basic's spare contact him if you are interested.

    Without consulting the documentation I would assume that the audio in is for syncing a show or shows to music, but this is just a guess.

    The controllers work well with Spaghetti, LFI player, LDS, and many other softwares. Ihor is ironing out some minor bugs in the driver currently concerning LDS, and there was temorarily an XP SP3 hardware detection bug that has now been resolved. So, with active support and improvement it seems to be a good 'bang for buck' in terms of hardware, especially if you are looking for fixed installation playback via SD (multibus micro,basic,pro) and ethernet control/streaming (multibus basic/pro) it currently can't be beat in terms of cost. Just note that you'll need software as the software that comes with it doesn't really cut it.

    Sorry I don't have experience with any of the older RIYA hardware.

    Probably best to contact them directly. They do read and occasionally post on the forums, but you're more likely to get a response if you contact them directly.

    Hi Heavyen,
    Sorry for delay with answer: I have not seen your mwssage earlier...

    In our PCI and 3_in_1 controller we have some functions, which make modulation of X&Y signals depend of music.

    1. Size modulation.
    This function make modulation size of image depend of level signal on music input line of ccontroller.
    For example, you make translation circle.
    On laser projector you will see pulsed circle;
    if level of music signal will high - you will see maximal size;
    if level of music signal will low - your circle will have little size, and go to single beam when music will stop.

    2. Move X.
    This function make moving image by X coordinate depend of music signal.
    This function is done depend of "bass" signal on music line; so it is slowly.

    3. Move Y.
    It is the same function as previous, but it make moving by Y coordinate.

    4. Move X&Y
    It is function which make moving of picture on both (X&Y) coordinates by spyro. Amplitude of this spyro is changed depent of "bass" signal;

    Is possible to make good effect withing combinations of these functions.
    For example:
    - translation gorizontal line, modulated by size ("on" "Size" function), and moving it by Y coordinate;
    - single beam, moving by X or Y coordinate etsc.

    These functions make perfect effect on disco or dance room.

    All the best
    Ihor

    Default RIYA MultiBus FW/Driver

    My new laptop (Windows XP SP3) is giving me problems w/ the current firmware/driver for the RIYA MultiBus.

    Does anyone happen to have this handy? I've contacted RIYA but haven't received a response yet.

    I've tried uninstalling the old driver and reinstalling the new one but I get the following error when installing the new driver:

    'The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name.'

    I've tried uninstalling completely, rebooting, installing new driver but I receive this error every time.

    Delete please from system old driver; for it:

    - connect controller please;
    - go to "Control panel-hardware-device manager";
    - delete controller from system (look it on "LPT and COM ports");
    - disconnect controller;
    - reboot computer;
    - connect controller;
    - when Windows will found new device - point new driver
