As long as it will not be too crowded, because we will have allot of $$$$$$$$$ lying on the tables.
I dont like to hear on the end of the evening, hey who have seen my 1W RGB

@Stoney3K: I would NEVER go that road!!!
I'm sorry to say, but how can you think of a LEM open to "visitors"?
- Safety!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We know you shouldn't put your hand or worse your eyes in front of a 1W beam. Do the visitors know?
- We might take the risk of viewing potential unsafe audience scanning shows, do the visitors take that risk or actually KNOW about that risk?
- How about all expensive equipment? Not only about stealing but also about damaging.
Sorry, but it's definately a NO for me if it's open for visitors. A LEM is not just a lasershow in a venue, it's a meeting to talk about lasers, show technology, do workshops, help other people aligning or improving their scanner settings, see other lasersoftware.
Otherwise I'm in. Can take at least 1x 1W green + QM.Net, several computers with touchscreens, 1x or 2x MDG3000. DMX controllers if necessary.

Yeah count me in too!
I'll bring my newly built 1W+ RGB and 2 smaller RG's, 2 FB3's + USB-over-IP setup, and a scientech 362 powermeter with thermal head.
Maybe i can borrow some qm.net goodies from my employer
@Stoney3K: In what way will the venue be 'open' for others? Is it a pub where we get one or two tables in the middle?
I agree that it is not wise to let non-laser enthausiast wander around in the middle of cables and stray 1W beamsFrom a distance maybe..
It could be fun I think. Maybe a little competition. Trying to blind as many as we can in one minute.
not funny jeejeedr![]()
It seems Belgium people have a thing with blinding people with lasers

The venue is an old factory building with the room we're planning to use converted to a pop concert hall. The room is about 20-30m deep, and 10m wide, with a stage running almost the full width on the far end.
There are also plenty of smaller auxilliary rooms, which we can use for workshops or tinkering, as not everything needs to be open to the public. Show-ready units can go in the concert room, where experimental stuff can go in the smaller workshop areas. As long as the layout is well thought over (no exposed beams/cables in the gig hall, people able to get around well) I don't see a big problem, there is a very large control area which is completely cordoned off opposite the stage.
The point is that the venue has a policy of not allowing 'private' parties, but I know the person who manages it very well. I'm having a chat with him this afternoon to discuss the details.
