Have pointer? To pop balloons, set things on fire? The should be forbidden. Same as guns in america. All the incidents that happend of the years......and al the children we have lost The longer its allowed to have laserpointers with high powered beams to more people get hurt. Sometimes it amazes me how incredible stupid the human ras is.......

I agree. Those kids that have nothing to do (those that throw stones from bridges, ...), can have a bit too much fun like this.

I will not start up my stuff when there is other people around. (apart from us I mean with 'other people') Just too dangerous in my opinion.

If your projector is not 'show-ready' (meaning, in your opinion, it's not ready to run in front of an audience, no safety interlocks, whatever) then you can show it off in one of the tinkering areas. You DO intend to run your projector in front of an aucience in the future, right? No sense in building one if there is nobody to see it!

As I said, I'll see what I can do this afternoon, there's a good chance that we'll be able to do it all private anyway.

Just proper warning labels at the doors and problem solved. If they are stupid enough to stich their eyeballs in the beam path of 5 mW+ laser beams, that's their problem. We can't help it if they are retarded enough to do that. But there's no excuse for an accident that happened due to ignorance. People have to know our hobby is not only super expensive but also dangerous.

What's up with the lasers shone at planes? Four lasers at the same time in Australia? I wouldn't mind if some of that kind of people came the 20th and stick their heads in a beam!

    Anyway, next list!

    Confirmed for the 20th:
    -FLoWLASER (1W RGB)
-Stoney3K (0,6W RGV 20kpps projector, Chauvet 1250W fog machine and probably some small lighting kit)
-edison (1.1 W RGY 532/640nm projector, qm2000.net and pangolin intro, fog machine)
-Frixxion (RGV projector and a laptop with soundcard DAC + HE)
    -mccarrot (2 x 500mW RGB, new 2W RGB with 1 x 500mW green viasho, Qm.nets, Coherent fieldmaxII powermeter, technohaze)
-hobbybob (Mamba 2.0 and Easylase, 1W green, power meter, luxurious Audi)
    --bart- (two powermeters)
-JeroenVDV (1W green + QM.Net, several computers with touchscreens, 1x or 2x MDG3000, DMX controllers)
    -SideFX (1W+ RGB and 2 smaller RG's, 2 FB3's + USB-over-IP setup, scientech 362 powermeter with thermal head, maybe some qm.nets)

Has permission from the wife and is 100% sure:
-jeejeedr (1W green, 100mW/400mW green/red, laptop with mamba and LDS)

Not confirmed for the 20th but has shown interest (please confirm):
    -FourDee
-SrS (FB3, 500mw green, some new toys, Antari Z-1200 MKII DMX fog machine because we love smoke)
-DixiScan (Antari HZ400 hazer and his 1W RGB, two 1W Greens, QM2000.Net, LivePro)

Is not going for some reason:

Asked permission to his parents but is not yet completely sure:
    -CMB (red and green modules)

    Unhappy

Maybe in abundance, I am really against non-laserists at a LEM.

Apart form all the pricey belongings of everybody.
Keep in mind stoney, that if you choose to make the event a non-private party, you (or the owner of the venue) will be responsible for the safety of your visitors.

I would never go go that way.
