    I have used these a few times...so so results. A stainless steel brush is required to clean it with. clean both sides till all of the oxidation is removed and preheat the pieces, as posted before....temp control is important plus the parts pull together hard so a clamp is suggested.

    Steel brazing is easily done with a torch and a older style steel wire clothes hanger.

    I have 3 TIG machines I can use about any time. Two of them are AC and DC machines,both square wave tech. Also have argon and helium....most of the welding I do is on 4130 X .032". However some spun aluminum container parts that is around .012" is better suited to be assembled with materials like this. The flux materials I seen in use were from Germany....it resembled a very smooth solder joint.
