I've gotten away with 80 mJ. Its the pulse length that matters, and the tightness of the focus. Plus you need a little dust in the air for lower powers. But not much dust at all. Shorter pulse = much less power. My avatar is a 20 hz, 110V flashlamp pumped, air cooled (heat exchanger) EO qswitched Air Snapper. Did not use cavity mirrors, in order to speed things up. It used cavity prisms. Sadly had to sell it to pay to go to SELEM and medical bills. The buyer gave it to a University in Buffalo.
EO qSwitches do it, but most AO do not.
