    Is this a re-gassed cut down medical version of the alc909? ( the version intended to be a drop in replacement for a OEM Lexel 88?)

    Damn... If that AA PCAOM was working, it would be a STEAL. AA units don't have the high losses in the crystal like the NEOS units do. But repairing that driver board might be challenging, and without it the crystal is basically a hunk of glass.

    Yeah, I know... The only think holding me back is the fact that the folks at KVANT seem to be pretty swift. If they couldn't fix it, I don't think I'd be able to.

    Pity though. That AA PCAOM is probably worth an easy 2 grand in working condition. (Losses on those things are supposed to be LESS than 7% )

    Yeah, I'm having a seriously hard time not buying that laser either. It's so pretty that it hurts when I pee.

    AA pcaom 8 channel with thermal stabilisation & AA Optics driver (8channel) with power supply and cabling: 1600€

    97% efficiency

    We have a very similar argon setup ( ALC909 head, Lexel OEM switching supply ) and its a nice combo!
