DZE and Laser Show Parts are both very reputable dealers and all-around good folks. The advantage with DZE is he is stateside, so shipping wouldn't be quite as expensive or take as long; plus, he generally pre-tunes all the scanners before he sends them out, and attends most of the SELEM and FLEM meets, so he's onsite tech support! Laser Show Parts has been around a bit longer, and occasionally may offer some deals on certain scanner packages - so, sometimes, even with the cost of shipping, you might come out a bit cheaper going with them. (Remember the cost on the Laser Show Parts is in Australian dollars, so convert to US dollars to compare prices.) The DT and ScanPro series are both very good scanners, so you have a win-win either way.
Beams generally aren't as demanding on scanners as graphics, so any quality set from 25 to 30K on up would suit you fine. If the budget can hack it it, you certainly won't go wrong with a 40K set, but a 30K set will still suit most of your needs for a LONG time.
