testing some positioning... DT40 wide galvos and MFE actuator shutter

I was worried that mounting the galvo plate to the post was going to be wobbly, but when i tried to see if it was wobbly I started wobbling my desk (which is not wobbly) so I was exerting quite a bit of force on the post and it didn't budge... have I mentioned I newport stuff??

yep... just somthin' about that 'meaty' pro-level tableware, huh?... 'I just love the smell of fresh anodized tableware in the mornin!'...

Here's one of my 'personal faves': http://www.thorlabs.us/newgrouppage9...ctgroup_id=227

...that-way, you only have to take the *top* cover off (vs the front... which is actually 'safer'... ) to-do 'covergence tweeks'...

...and you can even 'rig-up' some 'adjuster-extentions', up-to / thru your top-cover, so you can 'spank' the convergence 'externally' (vs the 'standard 45˚ rear-mount' adjusters, which are not so-easy to get clear-access to, from the front...) ...and then you never have to remove any covers, at-all...

I know I said I'd 'post no more pix in yer-thread', but these are for 'helpful-reasons'... Introducing, your 'new best friend'... the "swivel block":

been working on my projector all day... mostly metal work, but got all the reds aligned with the assistance of a new piece of shiny glass

I am losing a little bit of the 655 through the semrock dichro... it desperately needs to be cleaned but I don't have anything to clean it with here at home...

figure lens tissue and some methanol should work? or will it catch fire in a moment of epic fail?

also im losing an insane amount of power through the scanners... about ~400mW of red is missing the Y mirror and I am losing 30% somewhere else in the scanners too... either missing the X mirror all together or loss in the mirrors themselves...

think its time to upgrade to non-chinese scanners with bigger mirrors

so as measured, 2.2W of 655 before the semrock... 1.7W after the semrock (ugh)

510~mW 642 before the semrock, 480mW after the semrock.... so about ~2.2W total of red before the edmunds dichro, turns into about 2.1~W of red after the dichro... turns into 900mW after the scanners

    hehe, neither can I lol

I didn't like the placement of the galvo amps so I moved the green and blue over and moved the amp cards to the top plate where pretty much all of the electronics are going to end up
