Well this is my latest addition to my lasers.
Im not sure yet, but I have a strange feeling it maybe up to air, or is just not wanting to do anything with my handheld tester. I really hope its the second one!!!

That's a monster, Matt... You'd need a good sized oudin coil to test that thing, and even so you'd want the lights out when you did it to see the glow.
Sure hope it's gas intact!

alrighty then..... well the plasma tube has the white hose between the magnet and PT (pre sacrificial anode). Which means it is VERY OLD 20 years at least (you let me know if I am wrong)
The ps has white hoses and the old style flowswitch. Otherwise it is fairly complete.
if you get a plasma tube for that baby, you will love this laser. I would bet by the white milky color on the cathode...she is up to air.
it has GREAT potential
what year does the SN Tag say on the umbilicle of the laser head or the SN tag on the PS

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt & selling it in a garage sale.
Very nice catch Matt! You seem to be having great luck with Gas lasers. You and GooeyGus should form a club, seems like you guys are buying up all the gas lasers in America at this rate.
Matt, in two weeks I will go back to Akron. Remind me to get you the extended service manual so you can copy it. Since your doing ministry I will wave the usual fee for materials used.

Matt, get us a zoom of the cathode end bell glass please, and the sticker on the end bell, plus the sticker on the umbilical where the cable enters the head.
Thanks, Steve.

Ok,well heres a twist to this whole thing...
I found a tag on the crate it was in,and in 04 it was shipped back to SP, so Im guessing it was serviced then or something, I know the PSU was atleast,I think due to the fact its very clean on the inside, and having new pipes and a check valve, I may be wrong. But the tube is like super clean down the bore, and for the most part all over, but there is a milky looking mess in the glass water jacket.
I think I got all the pics you wanted.
Thanks!
Oh I think Ive been turned in to a gas head now
