    Cool Popelscan 4.2 freeware??

Hello Guru’s, I have a question about this piece of software called Popelscan 4.2 (freeware) by Robin Adams. Copy Right Freeware but? Does anyone now anything about it? I tried to look at one of there show called Siberian Sleight Ride it is in Moto1 format and has a Decrypt Password which tells me it might not be Freeware?? Has anyone seen this program? With bated breath awaiting John H

I did use popelscan as my first scanner software

But to use popelscan today must be like using a C64 instead of an Pentium :P ?

Anyway, popelscan is free, but I know some of the show had a password to protect them..

    Hi,

Popelscan 4.2 is freeware. Go here: http://www.popelscan.de/

There is support for the EasyLase USB DAC. You can only support other USB DAC's if you write an EasyLase compatible DLL file. Not impossible.

It reads .MOT and .MT2 files which are a new Popel Scan file. There are plenty of sites that allow for free download of files.

Anyways it is a nice well rounded program. It does beam shows the best.

Default Show and frame sownload for Popelscan

    Hi Santanas,

Popelscan is created by the German guy Guido Jeager till version 3.1.
He stopped supporting Popelscan and the source code is free for download as well. Robin rewrote Popelscan and version 4.2 was born.
V4.2 supports only the EasyLase DAC, V3.1 can work with the EasyLase ánd the LPT printerport. The MOT laser format refers to the used stepper motors, the MOT1. At www.hobby-lasers.startpagina.nl you can find an area with some links to download Popelscan shows and frames.
