thanks for confirmation, it confirms my thoughts about simple coatings

this is interesting because I have an isomet AOM having a hole of 1.5mm diameter, and was considering using two identical lenses to have a beam passing inside

A lens has two surfaces, so a 3-lens telescope with standard 3% coatings will have 0.97^(2*3)=83% efficiency.

A super-duper 3 lens telescope with .5% wavelenght specific coatings will have 0.995^(2*3)=97% efficiency.

So I guess I need an high-end telescope after all, that doesn't eat the light I gain at the aom.
