Default Is this a good power meter?

    Heya All

I'm in the market for a power meter and i saw this on a video here.

    http://www.coherent.com/Lasers/index...ID=250&loc=830

I like that it's small. The max, power it can read is 1w, but thats fine for me as the largest DPSS in my eye ball frying bringer of death/powerful enough to cut an aircraft carrier in half is 300mW.

Also the price the local agent quoted was $800US does this sound about right?

    cheers

Yes, the Lasercheck is a good LPM but you should be able to pick up a used meter for far less and have it calibrated.

.. and joking apart; 300mW still has the ability to be hundreds of x MPE

    Heya Mixedgas

Thanks, It just so happen i was lent an edmunds catalogue a couple of days ago. I'v found the meter as you said rebranded. They want US$443. So i just need to check and see what each companys plus, plus, pluses come to.

On side note i've just got lost in the catalogue now i'm wondering what kind of image US$3700 galvos give.

    cheers
