    thats the orion, the other v burners (800 series and others ) can do < 100ns with different drivers when tuned properly.

    yes, turning off the q sw makes the laser run at a greatly reduced power.

    Correct me if I'm wrong Pat, but I'm sure Iv heard of 15-20w cw from a scope that puts out 50 or so watts.

    My 25 watt orion laser scope about 4 watts CW

    My 38 watt 800 series scope does a little over 6.5 watts CW


    Probably just a coincidence but the CW power is around the same as the electical consumption Kw when you adjust the lamp current.....!

    you have heard "stories" some may be true, most likely not. no cookie cutter formula can be applied. variables are to many to average. your laser will do CW what your laser will do CW. I will add...they do NOT like to operate CW.

    a tuning fork makes no noise when sitting on a table.
