I'll take one! Thanks.
I'll take one! Thanks.
Hehe... Hey Rick - you don't need to go by "lojack"! You're better than that. Besides, it's really good to see you back in public again. You've been gone for ages, man...
For those of you sill wondering, let's just say that if you ever have any questions about the Alphalite XC pro controller, TechnoCrafter would be *THE* guy to send your questions to.![]()

I was trying to figure out how you determined he was THAT Rick, then I saw he updated the location in his profile. Rick, how have you been? Don't be a stranger, we wish you'd hang around here more often!
HaHa! Actually, I have to confess...Rick PM'ed me before he updated his profile information and we chatted a bit. So that's how I knew.
But yeah, it *has* been a long time since he's been on. Sure hope he sticks around more though.
Adam
Well Hello! I will definitely hang around here! Somebody knows who I am? cool! I'm kind of out of touch with everything out here in Anaconda, no clubs, no lasershows, no bands, it gets wierd. DZ and Stuka, I gotta get you guys on my contact list too. I do have a few laser related things I need to get posted somewhere, like does anybody know how to align one of those long 30mw hene's with external mirrors? It used to lase. Anyway, good talking with you all.
RickGebhardt
at bresnan dot net. Can I do that?
I'm sure I'll need to put this in a better place, but just for now I'm going to mention this:
Buffo is right- as for the Alphalite controller, definitely let me know if there are any problems or issues. I am always glad to help. I just made a circuit that disables the X and Y outputs until a show is actually started, so there is no danger of a random startup voltage hurting scanners. I just heard there were some complaints about that. If anybody wants that, let me know. I'll have to figure out how to draw that up and post the schematic.
Rick
DZ,
I'm in for 3 boards, Do you need funds in advance?
Jim
Hey Rick, hell yeah we know you around here! Listen, you should start planning now, in August, we all get together from all over the US and meet in North Carolina. You have to be there! Regarding the HeNe, those things can be tough to align, my first attempt at aligning from dead was on a Spectra Physics 124 HeNe, took several days of playing with it before I talked to L. Michael Robers who told me how to get it done. It still took several hours, but I got it. Are you wanting to try it or are you wanting to ship it to someone to align? I'd be happy to get whatever you have lasing again, wouldn't even charge you a dime for it.
I don't know anything about the Alphalite, but I do remember PCLite very well!Alphalite controller....
Hi Jim, no need to pay in advance. I'm still waiting for all the parts to show up. The boards should be in either by Christmas or the following week. Then I'll have some testing to do and if it all checks out, it'll be available to purchase from my website. I'll only have 5 shutter "kits" (GM-20, flag and driver) so the first 5 requested in this thread will get them. I should have plenty of the driver boards, I hope anyway, I said the same thing about the breakout boards!I'm in for 3 boards, Do you need funds in advance?![]()
DZ,
You'll align that hene! That's a nice offer, can't refuse it! I'll see if I can get this thing packaged up with the power supply and ship it over to you. It's a spectra 107, same as a 127, 35mw hene, put out about 27mw last time it worked. : )
August, S. Carolina- that would be fun. I'll try to get there. You had one of the PcLites :-) That was back in the days of dos programming, turbo pascal.
Nice website you have there! Good luck with the business.
Rick
Yep! Ordered it as a kit, I remember spending hours soldering everything to the board! You had one of the PcLites :-) That was back in the days of dos programming, turbo pascal.
I'll PM you my address to ship the laser to, I have a pretty good method setup so it shouldn't take long. Just be sure to pack it well!
