Default UK Group Buy - open can 660nm and 405nm diodes

this thread only appies to UK members.

im going to arrange a group buy for some diodes if anyone is interested?

i believe the reds come as sleds and the blu-rays come as diodes in heat sinks, not sled.

    SF-AW210 Blu-ray diode USD25 each
not 100% sure of this diodes power due to recent issues with them but somewhere around 150mw.

    GGW-20L: USD45 each
never tested one of these but everyone says 200-250mw each

    PHR-803T: USD5.5 each
    max power of 100mw

    LPC815: USD5
comes as a full sled, so you get a coated mirror for the diode. this is an open can red diode which is good for 250mw in a heat sink.

so to sum up a 250mw 660nm red diode for only £3.34.... thats a cracking deal!!

these prices do not include shipping, if we get a big enough order we get free shipping. so it will just be a small amount of shipping from me to you.

    please post if interested?

    Andy,
I'll probably have half a dozen or so reds off ya to go in some of them rather nice brass thingys.
Maybe in for a blu-ray or two depending on if the ones I have die when hooking 'em up.

What sort of timescale are you thinking of for this?

I'm in for a couple of GGW's and a couple of 815 sleds.

Is it possible for me to attend the GB as the only non UK member, and I share them with to the other dutch laserists?

I might be interested in a Blu-ray. They work with a FlexMod, right? Also, I assume they need external cooling but as the FlexMod only modulates and not cools with a TEC, is just a heatsink enough? And what exactly are the ESD precautions I should take?
