    Cheers, Jim!

...Ah, ion lasers...how else can you get 9 perfectly-converged lines / nearly-identical beam-characteristics from one source for less than $10K clicky...
...can't wait till that-much of OPSL in one-box is affordable... till then, IMO, ions are still the most 'beam for the buck', water and 3Ø, even, withstanding...

Sorry I can't hop over there and help ya clean / align it up to 2W ...Hats off to ya, m8...

(...and I know you know, but just a friendly reminder to be careful where your hands go when probing your tube voltages, etc, in that wide-open head, when she's a-runnin'... (ie: take any finger-rings OFF...) - that much DC will give you one helluva handshake!

    cheers..
    j

PS - In our NY shop, we have the 'guts' of one of these little units HERE that will run your laser all-day, closed-loop, off of 220-230V @ probably ~ 5-6A (this one in the pic is the 110V model - the 'guts' we have in NY are the 220-230V model pump / circuitry, etc) - PM-me if you're interested - and prolly wouldn't cost too much to ship to the UK, cause it's all broken down - complete, the little '1461' h-ex was only about 75#...

Simon - RE: " Official "vag burner and big ass ION laser" fan club member" LOL - Here's 1 2 3 4 5 6 some 'photon-porno' for ya.. cheers..
    j
....and armed only with his trusty 21 Zorgawatt KTiOPO4...

Not too much of a pump I'd say ...
This ain't Procon 100GPM just a magnet-driven plastic Japan pumpie.
    I wouldn't go below 100W of pumping action ...

P.S. For the chiller - split-AC roof unit with single huge & silent 40 cm dia. fan would be easy to grab I think ...

This laser is still for sale and I will deliver it in person anywhere on the UK mainland. (weekend)

The head, PSU, Pump, pipes, external flowswitch and Cooling/fans array.

The tube has been recently re-gassed and very high quality mirrors added. The tube gas reservoir has 5 more gas top up shots in it that are fired by a solenoid when required. Plenty of life left in this one!!

£1000 cash or £1040 Paypal payment.

Some more pic's as I know that's what you all like to see

I wish I had a spare grand and a free electric and water supply and that baby would be mine but life is not that kind to me.

Regarding the CD in the last set of photo's, I take it you have no intention of playing it again as I doubt it would work after being hit by that kind of power.

The CD was a blank CD-R and yes it has a few anomalies now on it's recording surface
