Laser projector add on effects?

YES it is dusty, but and needs a good cleaning...

I think it is on a stepper (CORRECTED NOT A STEPPER TWO WIRES) but it would be cool if it had been to you can run it though the gratings on the wheel.. I thought I would throw that up for you.. The second picture may be more useful.

Interesting. A leedex solenoid, and a standard hobby motor. That is not a stepper there are only two wires and it really looks just like a cheap dc motor.

I wonder if via pwm they can get slow motion out of it. In my experience motors like that don't like to run really slow well at all at dc. My guess that would be a high speed DG effect.

That one is a diffraction grating, the lumina is in another chamber nothing special. I am new to any of the scan through effects!

I coudl see a use for something like that in a digitally controlled divergence/focus adjustment inside a projector..

Here is a neat linear actuator on allelectonics.com with a motor and encoder for 36 bucks. There is a guy who commented in the customer comments section that says he as a pic driver for it.

The travel distance might be a limitation, but the positioning would be very accurate.
