Ya, me too... I loved the old smileys... The new ones are... ugly inferior.
Seems others do agree that they are too small too:

I wouldn't call them small, as much as I would call them semi-blinding though! The colors are too popping and seem to blend too much...
As for the theme... how about this one?

Seems slightly less eye straining...

I suffer from the Dunning–Kruger effect... daily.
They *are* too small. And blurry... It makes it hard to see what sort of smiley they are - at least when I'm at work on this tiny-ass monitor I'm stuck with.

In the true spirit of XKCD: "For $2000 I can make one that goes to 12."
The album linking used to be a long convoluted url now its a simple "attach engine reference" like "{ attach:27495 }" so that is likely the issue. My "options" are to reduce the character count and risk the "First! LOL" posts or find a way to pad the reference id... Both are nasty.
Re your join date... A while ago you were talking about it in the members list and I altered your join date to "somewhere right around the moon landing" and subsequently reverted it later and got the year wrong. Will update the year in a couple seconds.
The smileys keep dissapearing and being replaced with a red X randomly !

When I try to use the spell check on the Google task bar the content of text I have typed in the reply box just vanish and returns when I stop the spell check. I do like to double check before I post my replies. My computer puts up a block if I try to use the boards spell check.
