Does anyone here have any experience with the Spacelas 20k scanners? Apparently they can be had for ~$120US shipped if bought directly from them..

I have them and so far I like them.

Although I have not tried them with a DAQ yet just the DMX stuff.

Once I get my daq this week I will let you know.

Thank you for the tips and suggestions!
Yes! Very good choice. I also started with a set of 20K galvos from LaserShowParts. They have good equipment and they stand behind their products. Also, "Dave" from LSP is a member of PL.

To be fair, most of the projectors in 300Evil's videos are running more expensive scanners. I think the cheapest scanners in those videos would be either DT-40's or ScanPro 40's, and I know there are at least 1 pair of Cambridge scanners in there (Allthat's projector). My projector (which is also featured in the videos) is running the ScanPro 50's.

Having said that, the Scanlsp-20's are probably good enough to get you started in this hobby. But you may want to step up to something faster in the future.

Hey there! I read your review on these scanlsp20īs and i have to agree with you, theyīll get me started in laser projection and in the future when i learn more i can upgrade to DT-40īs or better, and better software and maybe even a more advanced dac, atleast i plan to upgrade to rgb, buying parts as funds allows me to.
