Default 23" touch screen - will it work?

Any guesses as to how good this would work for Pango software with Vista?

That should make for a nice screen... It'll sure make it easier to press the right thing

    It's also apparently multi-touch capable

The screen's good, Pangolin software's great, Vista's crap.

Seriously though, the screen should work just fine

if you are using vista, it's a good option to switch to windows seven

no bugs, no crashes, and perfect multimedia capabilities

another alternative to have touchscreen support would be to use windows XP tablet pc edition, but no clue if it supports multitouch or not, and it has less service packs

I am using a 23" touchscreen, Acer Aspire Z5610 Desktop all in one, with LivePro & QuickShow.
With QS it is just excellent as the cue's resize themselves to the additional screen size - LP unfortunatly, dosen't do this and the cue's remain quite small.
You can, however, run the twin monitor environment within LP and then maximise the whole cue screen BUT you then loose the other screen and have to fiddle about trying to get it back.

Pangolin is working on this. You can send Bill an email for an experimental release of LivePRO. In this version the cue's resize themselves to the screen size.

So far my Vista has run good. I only use it for my laser and it never goes online so I have no antivirus or anything running in the background to bog it down. My biggest worry is adding Vista drivers for the touchscreen monitor will cause problems.

I hate to think of reinstalling everything after I have it like I want it, but Windows 7 might be the way to go if I decide to go with the monitor. Upgrades never seem to work, so I would do a complete install.

    Decisions, decisions......

having used it for five months now, I can say windows 7 is mature enough...

never had any problem, and everything is working fine (even old games like dungeon keeper and theme hospital)

even the "search on the internet" option of the driver search window is working (got a driver for an old webcam, which was impossible to find anywhere)

its ergonomy is fantastic too, and the new start menu with application thumbnails would be absolutely PERFECT with a touchscreen, since taskbar icons are of the dimension of a finger and they show a list of thumbnails of opened windows like 3 by 4 centimeters per icon when clicked

if you have the opportunity, you should really have a look at it running

I think that version is for LD2000. I have Flashback 3.

    Thanks though!

Sorry, it is indeed only for the LD2000.
But I expect it will be also in the next update for the FB3
