I'm a bit slow today, so not sure if you mean actual scanners or virtual scanners in LivePro, so here's both...
I got two x 1 watt green with errr, dare I say it, Laserworld 50 ahem k galvo's, soon to be replaced with Scanslp 30's... And one x 2.3 watt RGBB with ScanPro 40's, I really like these scanners. Only time I saw tighter graphics in the Creation show was on a set of Cambridge...
But I set up each zone (for example zones 10 - 15) all to go to scanner1 and set the preview window to mirror the projectors. Then sit back and watch beat synced shows in the preview window, dreaming of the day I can afford 10 RGB'sBut I don't hold out much hope of that happening anytime soon

I meant you main RGB's scanners. I thought you had CTs. I use zones 1, 6, 7, 8, and 11 and changed each zone's geometric correction so zone 1 is half size and the rest are a third, then I position them like:
.......1
6...........7
8...........11
Then I set each zone to use scanner 1 and keep the whole scanning area, all 5 zones together, to fit within 20 degrees, what I normally watch beamshows at. I have been going into Showtime on the beamshows I like and adjusting the track settings to project only to certain zones. I am actually thinking of starting to make my shows like this from the beginning. Also, when I get to a LEM with multiple QM owners, I can just set the projection zones to project on other scanners. When using only my projector there is a lot of flicker because of the amount of points being projected, but it gives you a good idea of how it will look on multiple RGB projectors.
I really need to make a tutorial on this before Stuka comes after me but it is not to be done on scanners that can't take punishment. Mine don't make a sound, but... they had better not.![]()
Hi Allthat
Yes it does sound a bit backwards doesn't it?
Q voice of Garth from Wayne's World......I'm getting caught up in the journey man
I guess It's kind of like the experience when I've turned on a laser pointer and after I've admired the cool beam and colour ,I'm left with a slightly frustrated feeling like "This beam needs to be scanned"
I'm coming at it from the other end this time and working on the ability to scan a beam first.
I figure that this way I can buy the components that don't drop much in price and take longer to learn how to use first.
That way hopefully I should be ready to rock when i get my lasers.
Can't help thinking that I'll be ready to pop by the time I get my first laser though.
........Ok, now focus stay calm, all good photons come to those who wait.......
Oh who am I kidding? I want a laser!!! It's burning a whole in me!
