    The tube fire switch:

    The laser head:

The main power and softstart switches:

    The whole setup:

While i wait for the SP161B housing and the cooling fans, im gonna put together the preheat timer and the overcurrent trip, tho with 140V on the DC bus i cant get the tube current above 7.8A so maybe i dont need the overcurrent trip.

I need to fix the schematic, a real shame that igbt im using is unknown as i cannot find a datasheet, all i know is that its made by International Rectifier but the part number on it gives nothing.

nice one! I knew you were close!

I can't wait to find a small argon to experiment with!

Good work! Do you have a power meter to test the output with?

Hey, it's great you got it working. Just one thing, that fan doesn't look like it's up to the 1KW heat load that these things can produce so you might not want to crank her up until you find a more powerful fan.

I've got a model 163. I just measured my cathode voltage at 2.25V with no tube current.

Oh no Then my minute with 3.3V with tube current may have taken like half the tubes life off already.
