lucky for you todays exchange rate for copper is $2.95 per pound
the ones that output at close to / at / or above spec
    two SP 171's
    One I-90 argon
    one i-90 ar/kr
    Three lexel 95s
    coherent sabre
Two lexel 88's but their passbanks both need repair

and the last time i had 480 3 phase the i-300 k3 did power up and put out two watts of red, but of course i dont have 480 in my house to keep running it

Of course there are others that run, i would say 5 of them dont fire at all

The difference in brightness between the 488 and 476 lines is really stark. Just goes to show how only a few nm can make one hell of a difference. Personally I've always been a fan of 488. It might be Cyan in many peoples eyes, but the brightness is simply outstanding.

I also think there is a power differece between those two lines; I think the 488 line is close to twice the power depending on the tube.

When was the last time you fired that thing anyway?

    Most theatres have that capability.

It's just usually connected to the HVAC.

Correction: Most *large* theaters have that capability. Smaller venues usually have 208. (To wit: the 500 seat auditorium for SELEM only has 208, and it's the largest venue we've ever used.)

In fact, of the half-dozen or so venues I've scouted out for LEM's over the past three years, none of them have had 480 V 3 phase power.

Sure, a convention center will have it, as will any major venue. But most people would consider it a losing proposition to spend 4 grand to rent a room at a convention hall just to get access to 480 V power.

anyone who owns large frame lasers that require 480 vac need to provide their own boost transformers IMHO. We had four of them in road cases but rarely ever used them, *most* of the time 480 was available at the venue.

you ask facilities...do you have 480 vac? if no...bring your own transformer, you are bringing a ton of other gear if you are into large frames you might as well bring your transformer. OBTW...dont forget to bring your water pump system with captive air tank too...you will need it
