The standard smileys are borked. They get cut off at the top and the bottom with the new layout.

I simply hate the new forum layout... can't even find a thread that I just responded to...

This Layout may look better but it works a lot worse... IMO
I'm spending a lot less time here as I get frustrated at it's functionality....

Oh BTW... most of the Smilies Suck.... IMHO.... (this one works for me...
    I can make it out)...

    I totally agree with Jerry.
I hate the new layout as well. At a glance, on the last layout, I could see all the today's posts easily, with this layout they are not very visible at all.
It's also a nightmare to navigate around

When typing a message, you put a smiley on the end of your sentence, If you then return and then decide you want to add more to the last line, the cursor will just not go back to the end after the smiley, it always places it's self before the smiley and you can only delete it by clicking on it and pressing delete - very annoying!

Is there any way of altering the contrast of colours to make it a little more darker overall, it is a little 'bright'?

I liked the old layout without the thumbnails. Those annoying thumbnails on the new layout take ages to load.

Is anything being done about all the new problems?

It's such a pain! Why wasn't it left how it was

Work is being done, but it's slow going. Spec can't revert to the old version unless we want to loose all the posts that were made in the 5 or so weeks since the switch. (Not an option.)

The reason he switched is because we all told him to, remember? There was a poll about upgrading, and we all said "go for it". Unfortunately, this was the first time that an update of Vbulletin had so many problems. And of course, we didn't figure it out until it was too late. OOPS. But they are working on it, so it will get better with time.
