one of the guys in Krazers thread running them with missing diodes got his up and running using diodes (regular diodes not lasers)..check it out..pretty snazzy setup..though its kinda boring watching a red projection. But his system of duping the power supply was pretty slick, alittle bit better than the resistor method.

For a limited time and back by popular demand. This time XJ-M140 projectors bodies just missing the diode blocks. They will be 10 for $200 or 5 for $125 shipped US. International I can give you a quote but you won't like it.:tinfoil: Grab them while they last. Pictures coming soon.

    Pick them up here.

Has anyone looked at a way of using these for 3d printing, either by using blueray diodes instead or putting some blue diodes back in?

I'm thinking if you modified some of the optics (i.e. remove the phosphorus wheel and red led and shorten the light path) you might get enough light out to cure the epoxy (especially with the high UV from the blue-ray diodes)

Could be a good avenue for the left over projectors albeit at low resolution
