So, DocJohn's got the plates and utensils covered... I've got dessert covered... Does anyone want to volunteer to bring a side dish that would go well with smoked pork and Lasagna?

I can't bring anything home-made, but I could pick something up on my way from Charlotte if nobody has anything better in mind.

I'm bringing 2 handles of (my) RUM. I will grab several cases of Coke/Pepsi, ice and cups. Is there a freezer in that fridge for the ice? I can't wait this is going to be great.

I'd like some chicken... nothing against pork, but I love chicken when it's in the same smoker as pork

That's a tough one... I can bring something, but what can possibly go well with both and be fine for a 10+ hour trip?

    Thumbs up eating utinsels

Just wanted to confirm that I have bought 75 11 inch styrofoam plates and plenty of large red plastic cups, spoons, forks, and knives. Also 125 2 ply napkins. So we are set on those I think

    Cool, Thanks John.

QUESTION: If we get fired up at 10:00 on the 15th, what time does everyone want to start eating? Am I planning lunch or supper? It doesn't matter to me, just trying to plan timing. The cooler holding the meat will keep it in the safe zone for many many hours, although I'll need an hour or so to pull it where it will still be fresh and tasty.

There is no way I can get there in time for load-in on Friday AND have still hot food for Saturday. Infact, while you guys are lugging stuff in on Friday afternoon, I'll still be tending the smoker four hours away at home.

SO, Everyone, whether you are going to bring any food or not, Please speak up on what time you would to eat. That way no one misses any food, shows, presentations, ect.....

    Thanks.

I don't think many of us who appreciate fine southern BBQ will be able to wait for supper once we get a whiff of what you're cooking!!

I vote high noon, straight-up lunch time; less temptation to sneak into the vittles before they're properly served...
