Default WTB: Tube for S/P 164 or 165

    Hi all,
I got a couple lasers in today and unfortunately the guy forgot to drain the tubes before he shipped them. We are having some very cold weather around here and, needless to say, the water froze during shipping and broke the glass around the cathode end on both tubes. One still may be gas intact, because only the outside of the water jacket broke, but the other one is totally busted, water down the bore and all.

SO If anyone has a spare 164/5 tube or head laying around, I'll be happy to take it off your hands, just let me know your price!! Send me a PM or give me a call at: 425-220-4622

    Thanks
    Jason

do you know if they were in good condition before he shipped them? He might have pulled a fast one on you. anyway even the one that is gas intact dosnt have much of a prayer gettin going. If you find a source of free tubes let me know, i need a few of them If you get one i have a bit of experience installing them and i ll give you a hand if ya want.

    Awesome! sounds good.

Yes these were in good shape when they shipped, even if they were broken beforehand, I didn't pay a dime for them except shipping so I don't think he would have tried to screw me over. If anything I got a nice power supply out of the deal so I cant complain, I just want a working laser to go with it

The 'U of R' kid selling the two SP 164s / PSUs ...I can try again if you want - not sure if you'd want to risk another x-country ship, but I can guarantee you - they'd be properly drained / packed!!!

lemme know - I'll try and dig-up his number and call him up to see wassup...

    Gorgeous.... Simply Gorgeous.

I'll get plenty of pics once we get them shipped out here to the west coast and I get a chance to hook them all up

Thanks again Jon, you are a god among men.

    Default SP tube

What a shame; I wish this were the first time I had seen this happen. Try contacting Evergreen Laser and see if they can offer anything reasonable. Cambridge Lasers can make a new tube to SP specs; they bought all the SP glass tube stuff.
