    Lightbulb FlexMod N2's + LasOrb = sweet DIY goodness

    Just a quick note to everyone that the FlexMod drivers from now on will come with LasOrb diode protection devices at no extra cost. While the LasOrbs are not in yet (probably 2-3 week lead time), I have updated the checkout page here. Currently you can select from the 'Red' LasOrb for 3V diodes and 'Blu-Ray' LasOrb for approx. 5V laser diodes.

    If you order now, I'll ship your driver now and then when the LasOrb comes in, I'll ship that separately. If you need a combination of 'Red' and 'Blu-Ray' LasOrbs, place two orders (one with each selection) and the shipping of your second order will be discounted.

    I have also updated the data sheet.

    Specifications:

    * Power input: 5-12VDC
    * Analog Input: 0-12V max, usually you set to 5V full range
    * TTL input: 0-5V Off-On
    * Gain setting: 11 turn pot with 2 ranges 0-1A (Low), 0-6A (High) output.
    * Bias setting: 11 turn pot range 0-2A output
    * Dimensions: 31x21.5mm
    * Input Impedance: 9.4k Ohms Low range, 1K Ohms High range

    16 FlexMods on the board:

    High speed linear modulation at 1A:

    Very high speed TTL modulation with no overshoot:

    Note: the FlexMod has nothing to do with, nor is sponsored by Pangolin the creators of the LasOrb. This is an independent sale.

    Sorry, I'm already close to giving you a LOT of hardware as payment. Add up the value! I can't afford to include the Orbs too.

    Good news everyone!

    The lasOrbs are now in stock, so those of you who have ordered through the website will soon be receiving your requested type.

    what is the cost for the lasorbs by themselves? Thanks to you I have a couple of flexmods and flexdrives that could use some lasorb friends. I really want to get away from the DarkLight Series (TM) of lasers I designed.
