For Sale: Coherent 40W 808nm diode

Hey everyone,
I'm selling my 40W 808nm diode. This is a coherent diode in the standard "ccp" package. It's in the original box from coherent and was sold to me as being brand new. The box says the diode does 40.3W @ 48 amps. That's from memory as I don't have it right in front of me, hehe.

Anyway, the diode looks brand new and would make a great pump for a yag rod or similar project.

I have this for sale on LPF for $150, but I'm going to drop the PL price to $100 + shipping. The reason being that I would hate for one of the kids over there to buy it and hurt themselves, or buy it and have absolutely no way to power it and try to blame me for it. Yes, I was alreAdy asked if this could be made into a pointer lol.

I have pictures but I'm on my iPhone so I can't post them. I will get them up in A few hours.

Again you'll need about 2V and 48A to power this all the way up. First person to PM me gets it!

You mean you need just the actual die of the diode itself? Like one that you would need to solder onto a platform and all that?

This is just a bare diode... The square looking thing with four holes and then a couple bolts through the top. I thought these were what they used in the melles units, but I could be wrong.

yea if its a gold colored bar than its probably the same as used in the melles lasers

If the serial number from the box matches the diode itself (marked on anode block side) then consider it sold. (to me! )
