Don't have my 3rd lumia projector built yet. Only have 1 prototype T4 LS (using the CS42448 ADC/DAC that Lasermaster1977 and I were discussing) running 2 L&R daisy chained projectors, until I get the new PCB up & running. At the moment, the single T4.1's C++ Audio library automagically supports...

I'm spreading this discussion around a bit in different forums. In email lasermaster1977 wrote: How are you syncing your three belas? Four belas, RYGB. I think it is Roj that uses three projectors. This relates to my point regarding GoF design patterns. The answer is, what looks like the same...

Right, that was my entire reasoning for going with the bela platform from the outset. Sorry for not making that clearer.

Interrupts, Clear Interrupts, Set Interrupt disable at 15? I didn't understand this at 30! and didn't until I was 35. So yes, I was exposed to it for 5 years before I could grasp it for real world use. And this morning is when I realized that the music WAV format can be the relative time...

I get and like the joke. I was about 15 when I learned how to program the *one and only one* IRQ on the C64's 6510. One of the most empowering things I ever learned. One could write code that would play music and or produce animation, and then, if I remember, SEI, STA vector in zero page bla bla,...

Just a quick note. I woke up in a puddle of thoughts this morning, having spent many hours last night studying .wav reading and writing, then realized that a real-time-clock isn't required at all, nor are IRQs. All that is needed is a relative-time-clock and .wav multi-tracks provide all that...

I was speaking in general and not inferring a gui. What the ui wrapper might be is undefined but at minimum a text based scripted time-line.

Do I understand correctly that this discussion is about being able to control a bela based laser system through the use of a gui? If so, then I assume the way to go is through the use of the bela GUI library. https://learn.bela.io/the-ide/crafting-guis/

One could add a RTC to the Beagle Bone Black (BBB) with this as an I2C device: https://learn.adafruit.com/adding-a-real-time-clock-to-beaglebone-black/wiring-the-rtc Although I don't get the impression this device is appropriate compared to other RTC chips that offer more versatility. Something...

Selling two CNI B&W TEK 473nm Blue Laser Heads rated 10mw, with power supplies. Both include the CNI power supply. The power supply requires 5v DC @ 10amp. I used a spare PC power supply to provide the 5v DC to the laser power supply. Laser #1 - measured 6.19mW. Nice beam. Laser #2 -...

I REALLY wanted to make it to SELEM this year - I so miss the old hot stinky days of Newton-Conover... August 3rd is my brother's 50th birthday party down at the other Wilmington (Wrightsville Beach - NC), and I am in charge of all the music and lighting and things - and will also be spending...

oh, no worries! ;) you weren't being demeaning at all, and i am running out of hands. honestly, i've never really seen a delay in working with midi.. and if there is one, to me the delay is much less important than it being consistent and predictable / compensatable.

Please all, speak of anything on this here junk drawer thread. Except of course spam, and one other thing. Some pals engage in a kind of "good-natured" perpetual insult slinging repartee, to what purpose I've never satisfactorily understood. I've always found that wearisome, and in a group setting...

The 4 Radiator suggestion was proposed as a thought experiment related to design patterns. Anyone remember this brand of humor from the newsgroup days? Kibo's dog and Schrodinger's cat Side near each by the sycamore sat. The dog said woof. The cat said meow. The dog looked over and he...

I didn't say anything about wasted time. You saved me time and money with your tip about putting the ILDA connectors on the opposite side of the PCB. The Yes lyric was meant as a joke interpretation of the ethereal abstract as a statement about quantization resolution. re: 6b platform details....

well, yes... and also no. :) because you can drive radiators with external midi controllers, it's pretty easy to control multiple radiators with a single button press. here's an example using a stream deck: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVNfjh7IXeE i can control three radiators (without...
