it's best to put everything inside the enclosure. you don't want your fragile glass bits being smashed to pieces.
here's a few shots of a lumia projector i built: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...hp?albumid=141

Do you normally build lumia wheels and other effects on the inside of the projector? Or the outside? It cleaner and more safe to build them on the inside, but I wonder if the diffraction might spread wider than the projector's apperature in some cases and get clipped. If the effects are on the inside, then you need to set aside space on the beam table for them.
I'm thinking that lumia effect devices would be better as something that sits outside the main projector and perhaps attaches to the side. Does that sound right?
Been looking through old threads but I haven't seen many pictures of actual lumia devices. (this is actually a sweet thread:

Thanks for any thoughts on the subject,

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
