Outstanding... They are the woofs wobblies. Oh man, you have me thinking now...
It is a shame you are not anodising them, they would look very nice anodised blue.

This space for rent.
A single diode module I made this week, to get an idea of size the fan is a 40x40mm item. The diode isn't stressed and this one is small, tight and bright
1.15W out of the CDAR output window (that saps about 4.5% @ 445nm)
4mm FL single element glass collimator in an Aixiz housing
3 x 3.5mm diameter beam
Less than .9mR

Absolutely amazing work Simon
You are certainly setting a very high bar for quality work
It makes me want to go and buy a mill
Out of curiosity what type of mill are you using to do this work

The mill I use now started life as an X2 but after being disappointed in it's capabilities it was pimped up a bit. Should've just sold it on and got an X3 instead of titting about though
Pimped X2 (and I have an ER collet set before anyone comments on the drill chuck):
Should never have sold my mint Elliot jig borer, huge mistake..

Wow, what a crafmanship, a work of art !
Is that holder a Dave diode mount ? Would be cool if it is (i ordered 5 of those last week ;-)
Did you mill the housing yourself as well, and how is the die4drive mounted on the bottom ?
COol work simon, really cool!
I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.
Thanks Dimitri
I made this diode holder, but I also have some of Dave's ones here and you'll not be disappointed when you get yours, they are a top job![]()
I did all the milling on this one and the Die4Drive is fitted with an M3 fixing through the standard mounting hole into the housing's base
I'm ready to buy a couple
give me price with the breakdown list
Simon
Just to mention your latest offspring have arrived safe and well , and i sit in awe at the quality of workmanship , truely outstanding !
All is much appreciated
How about a live webcam in yer workshop so we can see you work and swear and throw things around :-)
