I appreciate all the feedback guys.

i know at least one of the systems is a 300+mW R/G/Y/O system. the others i have no idea.

my concern is just the blatant disregard for "doing things properly." Again, i dont care that this little DJ team is doing the show. The club has no budget for me and i dont give my services way for a bar tab.

But i have actually VERY politely talked to this kid before and warned him of all of this. and it seems as if now he is doing even more lasers, at higher powers, in more dangerous situations.

I know these winky blinky craps are not in the "watts" ranges, but still...these are pretty high powered and DEFINITELY not "eye-safe" by any means. Hell, we all know Red is hard to see, but those red beams are CLEARLY vissible and i know for a fact that this club does not use alot of fog! (i have done shows there before and they go nuts with alot of fog. the owners hate it).

I am torn what to do. i dont want to be "that guy" to rat on some one. but this is my profession and his stupidity could cause problems for me (yes, the odds are extremely low, but am i willing to play the dice game with my career?)

I also tried to give this kid the benefit of the doubt about 1.5 years- 2 years ago when he first started doing all of this. he seemed to have ignored me.

Steve, DSL-I jon, wanna scare him??

    Ahh, the good old days.

I did find that a narrow flat scan rotated on the mirror balls produced a more interesting effect.

But sometimes, you just needed brute force.

I must be tired, I cannot find this gatecrasher video being referred to.

My favorite laser safety video is this

At our club in London, we has a simple rule. No lasers other than in-house or pre-approved companies.

This means we can regulate what lasers are within the venue, powers and how they are used.

It also extends to confiscating equipment if found and used. Even extends to punters with points... just last week I took a 100mw green point off of someone

I would speak to the club owners and inform them that liability will ultimatly fall with them as the venue operators, I would imagine you wont see those lasers again!

Don't want to distract the topic so I'll keep this brief, If I'm honest Dan thats just a side room @ Leeds so I severley doubt those are multiwatt. The main room almost certainly.

Looking at the fanned effects if I was going to guess I'd have to say 300-500mw and probably 300mw but its impossible to tell from a video. Could be more or less.
