Having seen this projector in the flesh, I can vouch for the quality of the build.

Jim put his heart and soul into this and it's a lovely piece of workmanship. Whoever buys this will have a beautifully crafted projector that will be an absolute pleasure to own.

Jim, i'm really sorry to hear you're selling up . Please don't lose your interest in lasers, we love coming down to Surfleet and i'm sure there'll always be plenty of folks at the meets who would be prepared to let you play with their projectors and software

    Take care

Well, a series of event I must tell of.

Friday night I was asked to take some beam path shots of which I went on to do only to find that after around 2 minutes of 532 green time it went out
I did some tests on the advice of Mr Stanwax after a phone call and it pointed towards the pump diode had given up the ghost.
So I spent this morning travelling over to Robs house, a 340mile round trip to have Rob VERY KINDLY fit a replacement. A 5W 808 Pump diode to replace the standard 4W 808. All OK but after spending ALL Sunday afternoon and most of it's morning, he could only get the Viasho to output 450mW.
Rob even gave up a F1 afternoon in front of the telly to do this for me, something I will always be in debt to him for!!
I always ran the projector with the green turned down anyway as with it up at 800mW it was too green for a good white balance, a pot on the back of the projector turns down the max on the green, but on this occasion on taking the beam path pictures I had it wound right up so the old diode was running at 4.3A which was it's maximum current suggested by Viasho, see other threads about this being a worrying issue with Viasho greens pupm diodes running flat out as standard!, and this is probably what popped it.

SO, the projector is now advertised a 2.4W projector.

This now however gives a very nice white balance running at the new power although the green is now turned up full on the rotary pot at the rear.

The price therefore has been dropped to

    £2750 OVNO

PS - The white out at the bottom of the picture is the glare from the beam shutter so I didn't get me wedding tackle singed off
