Make sure the venue is smoke machine friendly (fire alarms)...
This space for rent.
Hey zerowaitstate
It's in Zetland
This is the venue from the website
• main hall: 17 metres by 9 metres
• side room: 7 metres by 3.5 metres
• kitchen: 9 metres by 3.5 metres.
Yeah, that is a question I will be askingMake sure the venue is smoke machine friendly (fire alarms)...
There are some other pros and cons:
Pros
Tables and chairs available for use
Non-residential area
Close to various transport options
Limited car parking available
Cons
Access is only between 8am to midnight (penalties apply for use beyond these times)
Will need to block the windows
Hiring charge (although we may be able to get a 50% discount on this)
Will require public liability insurance, however for a for a fee we maybe able to get cover under the venues managers policy
Accommodation wise, it is a bit limited, there are quite a few pubs around that can provide a room or there is plenty to choose from in the city
For close proximity I'd probably recommend this http://www.centralrailwayhotel.com.au/ and it's just down the road from where I live so I can provide a lift

HI guys!
Im new to Sydney and to Lasers!
but love all this ! and will be playing lots for sure!
I posted a question
http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...rt-laser-setup
so basically I want to make a star by bouncing a beam on mirrors on top of some tripods for an art show,
But my question please is,
what is the power [Watts] needed for my star, each angle of the 5 pointed star will be about 3 to 4 meters of distance to the neighbour angle,
I need to bounce the beam on mirrors, smoke will be used.
so please, where to buy some modules to make this happen?
thanks!
