It a nice case buddy ...
thanks for the offer to pick one up.... but .....
I have already ordered another ....

I decided in the end to not go for one with a laptop stand as i wanted to put my novation zero on a sliding draw in the front , with a laptop on the back it would have made it very long ( front to back )

so i went for this one at £68 on ebay

thanks loopee for the list ... i did contact odyssey but they told me that they had no distribution in the UK or europe and delivery would have been too much from the US

    Hey Karl

No Problem, I'm interested in seeing the finished result

I'm kicking myself now for not getting one of those screens

    Hey Dave

    For most touch screens no.

However there are some new screens coming out that do support multi-touch but are currently very expensive.

That said do you really need multi-touch? Especially if you’re only using it to select cues when paired with something like a Novation controller.

    Hey Karl;

I looked at that case on E-bay, along with some of the other ones that the seller had. I'm a bit confused, however. They say the top rack is either 8U or 10U. Now, over here, in rack mount terms, 1U = 1.75 inches. (Well, maybe a tad less than that to account for spacing between components.) So that means an 8U rack has room for something that is 14 inches tall! But looking at the pictures, I don't see how you're going to put anything that is 14 inches tall on that sloping rack... (At least, not when you have to get the cover put back on - not to mention the fact that you can't have it sticking down into the bottom section, because there's supposed to be either 2U or 4U of space down there as well, depending on the model!)

So what gives? How are they measuring that space? Is it only on the back (high) side? Or are they saying that if you use the full 8U of space on the top, then whatever you have up there will stick down into the bottom section, taking away from any space you'd have there?

Reason I ask is that I need a pair of these cases. One will have the touch screen on top and a computer motherboard and PSU built-in to the bottom. (No case, just the motherboard and components.) The other will have a large amplifier in the bottom (3U high) and my mixer (also 3U) up top. But I want to be sure that everything will fit (without having to buy some huge monstrosity of a case).

I'm not following you here. I mean, how do you run a multi-head show without a touch-screen? You can't click a mouse in two places at the same time, right? Or are you using only a DMX board to run LivePro?

Multitouch isn't available for LivePro, so touchscreen doesn't matter for that.

However, multi-headshows can be done easily by mouse. Just make sure you have a (good) mapped MIDI control-surface and there you go!

I guess i'm getting a little confused here

The touchscreen monitor with surround measures 19" x 15 ¾". I think this is 9 units- Correct ? I don't need space underneath for an amplifier or computer etc. I would like one exactly as in your picture.

The only one I can find on Ebay from RSD Music is a 12u one. That leaves 3 units spare (too much). How many units is the one you've got Karl?

I'd like to get one of these ordered but would hate to order the wrong one.

    Cheers
