Btw, what is the best glue to put the dichro's in the alu mounts? Will superglue do the trick?

Don't use superglue!! The fumes from the glue will attack the coatings and produce a white blume. Best to use 2 part epoxy.

Of course you can use superglue if you coat the optics first using First Contact optics cleaner - I wonder where you can get this from....?

    Cool

I still wouldn't use superglue, even if you coat the optics beforehand. Some cyanoacrylates can out-gas for days.

2 part epoxy is the only way to go. (Though it would still be a good idea to coat the optics ahead of time to keep them safe.)

It has been along while since I updated this thread, but that doesn't mean nothing happened meanwhile . Since the last thread I have been able to buy some new stuff . I have bought the red diodes, green laser from stanwav (150 mw, doing >250 and I have made the PBS mounts for the dual setups.

Unfortunately I don't have pictures of everything , but I'll try to make some pics tomorrow when I'm at the workshop.

I do have some pictures of the steel frame I've been building:

The frame is made with 20x20x2 mm steel square tubes. And is Tig welded together. This was my first time with Tig-welding so I'm extremely happy with the results . The aluminum plate is mounted at the bottem by 4xM6 bolts. The outside of the frame is going to be covererd in 2mm steel plates. The whole thing weighs 7,8 kg right now but that will increase since this is just the bare plate and (incomplete frame). I think the whole projector will weigh about 15 kg.
I know this is kinda heavy, but I wanted my projector to be extremely strong (tank-worthy) because I want to use it "on the road" and most trusses can handle fixtures that greatly exceed my projectors weight .

Tomorrow I'll try to make some nicer pictures! I hope you like it so far, and I'm very open to comment!

Did some more work today . I have done all the work to assemble the 2nd dual setup (for the reds). Just need to assemble it. Also finished up the welding of the frame, couldn't use the Tig this time though since we were out of gas... So I just used electrodes. So I have made the U-bar to hang the projector in a truss and it's looking good . Just have to buy the plates and screw them to the frame!

Also, I have found out that my red dichro is a red pass, green reflect dichro .... So I have to switch the green and the red lasers around... Argggghhh.... everytime I finish something, something new comes up.... But I'm almost there now .

    Here are my new pictures:

Can't wait for my next free sunday

    Heya Frixxon

One word 'wow', man incredible, i'm lost for words.....

    Gees, man, woot, lol

You are a laser purest, so far it's impossible to critic anything you've done, everything looks to be to the absolution highest standard possible. The machining on the diode mounts is awesome, you're bringing the bling to lasers.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the wiring. For some reason peculiar to me i'm far more interested in wiring shots then beam shots.

    Keep charging, man.

    cheers
