New projector issues...

So yesterday I got the last parts for my projector. I still have to drill the holes in the base plate for the components and make the case a bit better.
I bought a scan set from hobbybob with a broken off mirror. This was fixed easily with some epoxy. However this morning the mirror fell off again and my attempts to repair it failed: there was too much epoxy on the mirror. I think the best solution is a new pair of mirrors. Where is the best place to buy them? I need a diode mount and a lens too for my blu-ray diode, so if I could buy it at the same place it would be nice.
Next I have a grounding issue with my red laser. When we set it up yesterday, it looked very dim. Hobbybob measured it at 20 mW while it is supposed to do 200+ mW. When I connect the blanking wires to the 5 V from the PSU, the laser is back at full power. When I attach the signal cable to the DAC output and the ground to the case, the laser is at full power for a few moments and then drops back to a low level. Moving the scanner amps over the alu base plate seems to trigger it too. It seems like this is a grounding issue. What could be a solution?

Sounds like your case is floating high. Have you tried gounding the signal ground to pin 25, i.e. DAC common signal gound?

Yes, all grounds are pin 25.

Do you have an o-scope? If yes; then you could check the loaded modulation voltage at the driver. If not; what happens if you connect it to one of the other colour channels?

I did some further investigation.
I don't have a scope so I don't know the voltage.
I switched the red modulation signal with the green. The green works perfectly on the red channel but the red still has issues.
I deconnected the red modulation signal and attached it to the 5V from the PSU (both modulation signal and ground). Now it doesn't reach full power anymore, but whenI attached the ground wire to the case, the laser went much brighter. I have honestly no clue what is going on.
